Organizationally, all training units in the RMAF are grouped under the jurisdiction of the RMAF College which is based at RMAF Alor Setar.

The following training units are established to cater for basic training ang carreer advancement courses for officers and personnel  in the RMAF.

Flying Training Center 1

This center which is located at RMAF Alor Setar is responsible for the basic flying training for the RMAF. It also cater the training of Army and Naval pilots.

Flying Training Center 2

The helicopter conversion flying is carried out at this center which is also located at RMAF Alor Setar. This training is carried out after each traine has passed the baisc stage at the Flying Training Center 1. Flying Training Center 1 is meant for the fixed wing aircraft flight training.

Flying Training Center 3

The function of  this training center is the same as the Flying Training Center 1. The flying training is carried out at RMAF Kuantan.

Officers Training Center

The basic training for newly enrolled civillians is carried out at this center which is located at RMAF Alor Setar. Once they has complited the course they will commissionned as RMAF officers.

All the officers under the Cadet, Graduate, Special Duty and Short Service Commissioned Schemes are also trained at this center.

Flying Instructor Institute

The RMAF experienced pilots under go their flying instructor training at this center which is located at RMAF Alor Setar.
They are trained to teach new pilots on various theory and practical aspect of military flying.

Air Force School

The basic recruit training for new RMAF personnel is carried out in this school at RMAF Ipoh. This school is responsible to churn newly enlisted civilians and shape them with the right attitude towards military life. Some of advanced career course for the RMAF personnel are organised here.

RMAF Technological Institute of Weaponry and Explosive School

This school which is located at RMAF Butterworth is responsible to train RMAF personnel in weapon an explosive handling.

RMAF Air Professional Training School

The School is located in Penang. It is responsible to handle advanced career courses and Instructional Technique course for all RMAF instructors in teaching methodology.

Logistics School

The school which is located at RMAF Subang caters the course for basic logistician and advanced courses related to logistics matters.

Administration and General Military Training School

The school which is located at RMAF Subang is designed to teach administration and management subjects to officers and personnel in the RMAF.

Specialist Vehicle Training Center

The course run by this tarining center which is situated at RMAF Subang is specially tailored to teach the drivers in the RMAF. They are trained to handle all land transports including military specialist vehicles.

Communications, Control and Reporting Training Center

The center is running basic and advanced courses for Air Defence Controllers and Air Traffic Controllers and they specialised
and air space management. This center is located at RMAF Kuantan.
